Xplosion Fastpitch Softball is a travel and tournament organization that competes in USA, USSSA and Showcase  tournaments.  Each team within the organization is dedicated to providing the players with the best possible opportunity to develop their softball and teamwork skills in a safe, educational and respectful environment.

 

We are DEDICATED and COMMITTED to each other, our team, our league, our families and our community. Each time we take the field, we do so with dignity, sportsmanship and class.  We pride ourselves in being one of the most affordable and competitive travel softball organizations in Montgomery County, PA.

Our Organization is run and overseen by three individuals. 

 

* Mike Beer is a long time Xplosion coach and current Assistant Varsity Coach at North Penn HS Girls softball, where they won the state Championship in 2021.  Coach Beer has helped develop many softball players over the past 15 years in our local area.  He has also Head coached and Assisted on some great Xplosion teams from 12U on up to 18U.  Having Mike around to guide our teams and share his love for the game with our players and coaches is something special.

* Geoff Thompson is also a long time Xplosion coach and current Assistant Coach at Chestnut Hill College.  Coach Thompson is always available to help advise any Xplosion players trying to get recruited to play at the college level.

* Fred Holdsworth is the current Head Coach of our 16U Xplosion and spent several years coaching under Mike and Geoff. Fred is a graduate of Lansdale Catholic HS where he earned All County Baseball Honors.  He also played baseball at MONTCO And York College.  Fred is the current president of TYA LL Softball which is one of the many feeder programs for the Xplosion.  In the winter months you will find him instructing many of our local softball and baseball hitters.

Mike, Geoff and Fred have over 45 years experience between the three of them coaching and teaching Fastpitch Softball in the local area.  Their dedication to our program is unmatched.  We are grateful that they call Xplosion Fastpitch Softball their home.
